Individual Packing List

- 1 small duffle bag or backpack for your gear
- Costumes: 2 Tunics or the equivalent of. You will be dressed in Book of Mormon period clothing the whole time. Check the “Clothing” tab at www.lehisbookofmormonquest.com
- 2 Pairs of knee length shorts (to be worn under tunics)
- 2 T-shirts (to be worn under tunics)
- 1 Pair of pants to be worn under costume (in case of inclement weather) such as leggings, sweats, long johns
- 2 Pairs sturdy socks
- 2 Sets of underwear
- 1 Light rain coat or poncho
- 1 Pair good tennis shoes or trail shoes (that fit well and you are used to walking in). Must be closed toe. NO FLIP FLOPS or sandals allowed.
- 1 jacket
- Pack all loose bedding in ONE black garbage bag with your name/ward on it. Small pillow & bedroll (sleeping bag or blankets for sleeping warm). You will be in a tent but it can get cold at night.
- Tooth brush and toothpaste
- Pen or Pencil
- Chapstick
- Insect Repellant & sunscreen
- Antiperspirant / Deodorant
- Baby Wipes (for washing yourself, body, feet, etc)
- Small hand towel (for washing face)
- Feminine Hygiene Supplies (as applicable)
- Garbage bag for dirty clothes
- **WE ARE UNPLUGGING FOR THIS 3-DAY QUEST. LEAVE YOUR CELL PHONES, IPODS, IPADS, SPEAKERS, VIDEO GAMES AND ALL OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES AT HOME. YOUR TRIBE PARENTS WILL HAVE CELL PHONES IN CASE OF EMERGENCY AND PHOTGRPAHERS/VIDEOGRAPHERS WILL CAPTURE THE MAGIC!
- **YOU WILL BE FED WELL. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BRINGING ANY OUTSIDE FOOD OR SNACKS. IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY OR OTHER NEEDS, PLEASE CONTACT Name (Phone) in xyzzy Ward ASAP. SHE IS HELPING US COORDINATE THOSE SPECIAL ACCOMODATIONS.
HOW TO HAVE AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE:
- Actively participate in everything at the Quest. You will miss out on some cool experiences if you sit on the sidelines.
- Decide to make this an awesome experience. You have a choice.
- Leave all devices/technology at home. It will be a truly amazing “unplugged” experience in the wilderness.
- No murmuring please. Speak kindness and leave the gossip at home.
- Be outgoing and make some new friends. We promise it will be worth the effort.
- Look out for the lonely ones.
- Be kind, be kind, be kind.
- Respect Tribe Family time and stay with your family when you are supposed to. Don’t worry – there are many activities and plenty of time when free mingling will happen.
- Show respect for others.
- Express gratitude often.
- Please don’t ruin the experience for someone else by detracting from the Spirit.
- Leave everything a little better than you found it and pick up after yourself.
- Look around and ask how you can help. When ye are in the service of your fellow beings you are only in the service of your God.
- Give other performers & speakers the reverence and respect you would want. It is not easy being up on stage so don’t make it any harder than it already is.
- Mark your scriptures and write down your thoughts. You will want to remember how you felt and what you learned.
